DESCRIPTION:Influence is about changing or affecting someone or something without directly forcing those changes to happen\, regardless of our formal authority or position. As leaders\, we’re often called upon to lead by influence whether it’s managing up\, working across functions\, or collaborating with partners. Effective leaders move people into action not through coercion or demanding compliance\, but through expanding perspectives and evoking a desire and commitment to the vision or greater good.  \nLeading by influence requires the ability to inspire\, garner buy-in\, and build commitment towards what can be new or challenging situations and sticky problems. And while we don’t have direct control over other groups or individuals\, like we would our team\, influence enables us to steer\, get to better decisions and help people see things differently.      \nJoin us at our next learning event where we’ll explore how you can build your influence by building the foundation first\, adopting an influencer mindset\, using powerful questions to shift minds and loosening the grip of attachment.    \n
